At our upcoming meeting we should talk about fundraising within the school. I think it is really important that we start to raise money. Also we should talk about if people got anything donated and who is getting what.
So far at every meeting we talked about raising money for the fair but haven't started anything. We have many ideas but never try to get them done. Coming up with the ideas are over we figured them all out. We should try and get people to bring things in. Also talk about when and how we are going to do them.
No one in the group got anything donated yet, or got money. People should start going around and getting money and things donated. We aren't going to do good this year if we don't start doing things.

Areas of Improvement.
There are a few improvements my group could make. We could start doing things rather than talking about them like start doing fundraisers to get the money we need. We could talk about different things each meeting.
So far our group hasn't raised any money for the fair. We should start getting donations for food from other companies. Also, we could start some kind of fundraiser within the school. We talked about different fundraisers but haven't got the stuff for them. People should try and talk outside the meetings to get things done.
Another problem in our group is we always talk about the same things. People are getting tired of deciding the same things we decide at every meeting. Each meeting should be devoted to a different topic, not just talking about everything in one meeting. One week we could talk about fundraising in the school, the next what is going to happen at the fair, what we need and who is going to get it.

Service Learning Meeting 2/18/09
We held our first service learning meeting since December on February 18. We talked about a lot of things and covered a lot while we were there.
The first thing we talked about was fundraisers we could do within the school to help raise money. We want to do this so we have money for our group. We found last year it was hard to get donations, so by doing this if we can't get something donated we can buy it. Some ideas were:
-Selling hot chocolate while it's cold out.
-Pretzels and lemonade or iced tea in Spring.
-Water ice or ice cream also in the Spring.
-Different raffles.
The second thing we talked about was the fair. We thought up ideas about what food was going to be there and who was going to try and get it. Also what things we were going to have at the fair; games, raffles and things like that.
FOOD
-Hot dogs.
-Soda and water.
-Water ice.
-Chips and pretzels.
-Popcorn.
Games/Activities
-Dunk Tank.
-Balloon Dart Game.
-Duck Pond.
-Ring Toss.
-Face painting.

Goals This Year.
This years goals are different. Last year our goals were little and we did not really know what to do because we started so late. But this year we are hoping to accomplish the following:
-Raise more money before the fair and at the fair.
We were thinking about selling things and having different raffles within the school to get more money.
-Have better games at the fair.
Not sure how we are planning to do this yet.
-Find a better location to hold the fair.
Last year the location was hard to get to this year we were thinking McCall or CHOP was going to let us use their parking lot or something.
-Get more donations.
Go ask people to donate things for the fair, food, games, money, or other things.

Accomplishments.
Last year my group helped organize the fair for Frankie's Fight. Each person went around and collected donations. The fair was very successful. There we had games, prizes, a race, and face painting for little kids, raffles of baskets, food, and a D.J. Although the fair was successful in raising over $1,000 there was more we could have done. We could have had better games, and raised more money, but we got a late start and was unable to get much. This year we hope to do more.

About My Group.
My service learning group childhood cancer. We work with an organization called Frankie's Fight. One person in our group has a personal connection with the family that started it. It is for a little boy named Francis John Gebeline. On July 24, 2003 he was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive, malignant spinal tumor called a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath tumor. The tumor wrapped around his spinal cord, and his windpipe. Frankie had a 40% survival over 5 years. Sadly in March 2007, he passed away. In honor of him, his friends and family started this organization to help raise awareness for childhood and his type of cancer.
